Powerball File Changes – Sorting Numbers

We have changed the Powerball .slh file in order to add the numbers in draw order. This was due to a request by some customers. It is one of the only game files that we have available in draw order. However, not everyone wants the numbers in draw order, so we have also added a new feature in Advantage Gold that will work for the new Powerball file.

Sorting Powerball numbers in Advantage Gold .SLH file

  1. To see the drawings in sorted order:
    • Right click and select “Show Draws Sorted”.
    • Uncheck it to see the draws back in order drawn.
  2. To force the setting to be checked whenever this file is loaded:
Click File | Preferences | Other, then check Auto select “Show Sorted” on Startup.
This will force the file to show sorted when it is loaded but keeps the original order on the disk copy so you could always still see the information in order drawn by un-checking.
  3. To change your copy of the file to sorted only:
    • Click File | SLH Properties, or click the hammer icon then
    • Check Autosort Drawings
    • If you want to remove the ballsets, check No Ballsets
    • Click SAVE and click YES.
This makes the file on the disk the same as what you see. The only way to get back the order drawn would be to download the file again from our web site.

NOTE: This ability requires Advantage Gold release 4.0.1.141 or newer. Previous releases prevented saving changes to history files in the demo version.

FOR ADVANTAGE PLUS ONLY USERS:

If you do not own Advantage Gold, install it from our web site, then use it in Demo Mode. #3 above will work to get the file in the sorted low to high format.

How are Smart Picks calculated?

We have had some interest in how the Advantage Gold Smart Pick lotto numbers are determined, especially because they are not always the same as the old Advantage Plus software. We have tried to improve our lotto number selection methods for Smart Pick calculations in the new software so you have better odds of winning more lottery prizes. Because we try to give you as much control as possible, you still have the option to use the old methods.

Chart 3 – Quick Stats and Chart 7 – Hit Charts are a couple of the popular Advantage Gold charts that offer automatic Smart Picks to help you quickly and easily choose better lotto numbers to play.

ABOUT SMARTPICK CALCULATIONS FOR CHART 3: QUICK STATS

Our older Advantage Plus software used the ratio of current out divided by average skips. A single number out for a very long time would make the average for that number much higher than would be useful. To avoid skewed results, Advantage Gold instead divides by median skips, which are not as sensitive to a single big number. I read about generic Levitra at http://www.bantuhealth.org/levitra-generic-buy/ and I think this pills really good for ED treatment.

We know that many of our users would prefer to keep the same method as used by Advantage Plus, so the choice of how we do this is up to the user. In Advantage Gold, the default is the new way. However, the user can easily switch to the method of their choice by using the right-click menu on chart 3: right-click on the chart and select either “Use Out/Med” or “Use Out/Avg (original)“.

DEFINITIONS

  • Expected = (Draw Size * number of drawings used) / poolsize
  • HitRatio = total hits / expected * 100 so it shows as a percentage
  • MidRatio = middle hit ratio for the sorted HitRatio table.
  • testDivisor = (Average Skips) or (Median Skips) based on chart 3 setting

HOW CHART 3 – QUICK STATS SMARTPICKS ARE CHOSEN

Arranges lotto numbers in order from highest to lowest by out/avg or out/med.

For each number in this sorted list, the number is a Smart Pick if:

  1. (current Out/testDivisor) is greater than .4 {the upper 60%}
  2. HitRatio > MidRatio {hit ratio is in the upper half}
  3. No more than three hits in the last 5 games. This tends to produce more correct hits when the range of drawings is limited. It seems the more drawings are included, the less effective these are.

HOW CHART 7 HIT CHARTS SMARTPICKS ARE CHOSEN

To select Smart Pick setting: Right click on chart 7 and check or uncheck “Use A+ Original picks”.

Advantage Plus “original” picks

For each number, the number is a Smart Pick if:

  1. Number is out 1 to 9 drawings
  2. Number of hits is less than 1/3rd of the smallest group drawings

Advantage Gold new method picks

AvgRatio = average of middle two ratios for this number

For each number, the number is a Smart Pick if:

  1. AvgRatio is at least as big as the ratio in the rightmost column
  2. No more than 3 hits in last five drawings

This lotto chart is sensitive to the group sizes used, but not the total range setting as long as the middle two column group sizes are reasonably small. If you use the default settings, it often produces reasonable Smart Picks.

News about Canada Lotto Max Game Files

UPDATE: We now have 2 versions of all of these game files available. The ones labeled 7/49x include the bonus drawings. The files without an x are just the main drawings.

We have recently had several questions from customers concerned that the Canada Lotto Max files have been corrupted because they now include some drawings that do not have bonus numbers, but instead have a ballset listed. We apologize for the confusion, but this is not a mistake. We changed the files to include the extra (called “Maxmillions” for Lotto Max) drawings results due to some customers wanting to strategize with those results included.

The affected files include:

  • Canada Lotto Max (can0749.slh)
  • Quebec Max (can0749q.slh)
  • Western Max (can0749w.slh)

We have designated ballset numbers for those extra drawings to keep them in draw order. Because of the ballsets, you can easily separate these drawings if you want to. If you do not want to use these maxmillions drawings in your calculations, use History View Filter – Chart O, go to Ballsets, and select “none”. You can clear the filter setting at any time. Viagra price comparisons and generic Viagra free samples available on https://www.caladrius.com/buy-viagra-cheap-generic-online/.

Don’t forget, you can use History View Filters for any game! See more about this great feature here.

About MAXMILLIONS

When the LOTTO MAX Jackpot reaches above $50 million, additional MAXMILLIONS draws will occur with prizes of $1 million each. MAXMILLIONS and the prize money will increase until the jackpot reaches $60 million. At that point, only MAXMILLIONS can grow. That means each combination of numbers on your ticket will have more chances to win. All of your tickets can be compared to all sets of MAXMILLIONS numbers for that draw. To win or share a MAXMILLIONS prize, you must exactly match all seven numbers on one line of your ticket; there are no smaller prizes.

QUEBEC MAX and WESTERN MAX have 7 additional $1 million prize drawings.

How to use Smart Luck lotto software on an OSx (apple computers)

How to set up a Mac OS-X (MacBook or IMac) computer to run Smartluck lotto software.

WHAT YOU NEED

  • MacBook or iMac running OS-X
  • Virtual Machine software – about $70*
  • Licensed Copy of Windows 10 – about $100*
  • Smart Luck software (Advantage Gold, Wheel Gold, etc.)

Although Smart Luck lottery strategy and wheeling software was designed for Windows PC’s and there is no Macintosh version of the programs, you can still install our software on a mac with the use of a Virtual Machine running Windows.

Modern Mac computers use the same Intel chips that are used in PC’s. This is not true for IPad’s and other tablets which typically use very different CPU’s. Because of this it is possible to use Virtual Machine (vm) software to install and run other operating systems on the same computer and switch between them with just a click – no re-boot required. Each vm is completely self contained and does not interfere with any other vm’s or the host machine (the Mac where the vm software is installed). Virtual Machines are like having multiple computers in one.

PARALLELS is the best virtual machine software for OS-X. Parallels Desktop for Mac is available for about $70* from Amazon.com and can be downloaded and installed on your Mac immediately after you place your order. When you open it in your Mac, it will ask for a source for an operating system to install.

Windows 10 (32 or 64 bit doesn’t matter) is also available from Amazon.com for about $100*. Windows 10 Home is all that is required. Once you have purchased a license, you can actually download an ISO file for windows and install it into a vm from that file.

Once everything is set up, whichever operating system is showing is the one that is active, and you can switch between them with a multi-finger slide gesture to drag the windows back and forth.

* All prices shown here are accurate as of the date of this post and may change at any time. Visit amazon.com for current prices.

Note: We cannot guarantee that we can offer support for installing our software on a Mac.

Hurricane Irma Delays for Smart Luck

UPDATE (9/13/17): Power, phones, and internet have been restored to our office! We are back in operation. Thank you again for your patience.

UPDATE (9/12/17): The Tampa Bay area was lucky as Hurricane Irma weakened significantly from predictions and did not come as far West as expected. Our office did not sustain significant damage, but we are still out of power with no way of knowing when power will be restored. We do have one employee who is able to update the lotto history files and website, but order processing/shipping and tech support will be unavailable until power is restored to our office. We thank you for your patience!

Notice: Hurricane Irma is predicted to affect much of Florida early next week, buy xanax online including a likely direct hit to the location of our corporate office in the Tampa Bay area. Please expect delays in support and order processing including download only orders as Smart Luck will be closed. This also includes lotto history file updates, but remember, you can enter drawing results into the program yourself. It only takes a few seconds. Please see the Advantage Gold manual for instructions.

We anticipate this delay to include at least a few days or all of next week and potentially longer depending on how long it takes to restore power and utilities. We thank you for your patience!

Good luck to everyone else in the path of Hurricane Irma! STAY SAFE is currently our state motto.

  1. Right click on the W* icon on the desktop and choose copy.
  2. Paste it to the desktop by right click and choose Paste. Name it Demo Wheel Gold though you could keep whatever name windows gives it.
  3. Right click on this new icon and choose Properties.
  4. Click on the TARGET field and move the mouse to the rightmost position (or press the END key).
  5. At this point type a space then /demo
  6. Click OK

This shortcut will open the Wheel Gold as a demo. The original icon will open it normally.

Windows 10 Printing Issue with Software

printer-1427225We have had some customers who had trouble printing from Advantage Gold or other Smart Luck software on their Windows 10 computer, but had no idea why. There is one likely cause that you should check first if you are seeing this problem.

Windows 10 has a default setting of “Let windows manage default printer”. In this mode, any printer you use becomes the default printer. If you use a CD maker, pdf printer, the fax portion of a multi-device, etc, this will automatically become the default printer, which probably is not what you want to happen.

The simple solution is:

  1. Click Start Window button in the bottom left
  2. Click Settings
  3. Click Devices
  4. Under the Printers & Scanners section, look for the “Let Windows manage my default printer” setting and make sure it is set to Off
  5. Make sure the printer you want to be the default is shown as default under Printers & Scanners section of this same settings page. If it is not, click the right one as choose “Set as default”

We have updated our printing FAQ page to include this information.
