A: For the Smart Picks (Chart W) in Advantage Gold or Plus, you can change how the Smart Picks are calculated.

The options are:
1) Based on Scoreboard - Balanced
2) Based on Scoreboard - Not Balanced
3) Random Weighted by Scoreboard - Balanced
4) Random - Balanced

In Advantage Gold, there is a dropdown selection box next to "Selection Method" where you can choose your Smart Pick calculation option.

In Advantage Plus, you can go to F8-Options to change this setting.

1) Based on Scoreboard - Balanced (Default Option)
This option will show lotto numbers by total score meaning all numbers with a total of 7 first, then 6, then 5, etc as they are shown in the scoreboard. Balanced means if the numbers chosen start getting out of balanced too far in one direction or the other (mostly odd, mostly even, mostly high, or mostly low), the chart will ignore some numbers in favor of others that have the same score but will balance the high/low or odd/even ratio. If you change the number you input, the last few numbers given can change, depending on how the numbers are balancing.

2) Based on Scoreboard - Not Balanced
Same as Scoreboard Balanced in that it will show numbers by total score meaning all numbers with a total of 7 first, then 6, then 5, etc. The difference is that numbers will always be in order according to score and will not be adjusted for high/low or odd/even ratios.

3) Random Weighted by Scoreboard - Balanced
This is a random option that is still based on the scoreboard. The numbers are put into a pot multiple times based on their position in the scoreboard (something like 50 times for the numbers at the top of the list and 1 time for the numbers with the lowest position). Then the numbers you asked for are randomly chosen from that pot but balanced like the 1st option. The numbers at the top have a higher chance of being picked but all numbers have a chance. The numbers are also balanced like in option 1. This option will produce different numbers every time.

4) Random - Balanced
The last option is completely random, any numbers could be drawn regardless of their score, but they will also be balanced like option 1 and 3. This option will produce different numbers every time.

In What Order Does the Smart Picks Chart List the Numbers?

For the Smart Picks chart, the lotto numbers will be ordered by rank. Smart Picks uses any and all of charts 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, C, and D that you've run prior to running chart W to determine the numbers. To see how the Smart Picks are determined when based on the scoreboard (default), view chart V, the Lottery Advantage Scoreboard. Chart V shows you how numbers are doing across the other charts that you've run. Some charts can be weighted higher than others.

The numbers are listed in ranked order, with those that have the highest smart pick score (or are Smart Picks for the most highly weighted charts) listed at the top. The numbers that tie with the same score are sorted in ascending numerical order. So, if #2, #10, and #34 all were Smart Picked for 3 charts, they would show up as 2, 10, 34 in the list, but they all have equivalent scores.

If based on the scoreboard, Smart Picks will consider these numbers in the order shown in the scoreboard. When a Balanced Option is selected and the numbers are getting out of balance, the chart may skip some numbers in a group to give you higher ones with the same score in order to balance the high/low or odd/even ratio of all the numbers given.
